Review: Sunflower Drive In

Photo featuring the Nutburger (left) and Patty Melt (right).

In the Sacramento area and looking for something healthy and fresh, but also filling and tasty? We recommend Sunflower Drive In located in Old Fair Oaks. This tucked away gem is conveniently located off Highway 50, so you can make a pit stop while road tripping to and from South Lake Tahoe or while exploring the home of California’s State Capitol.

This vegetarian only “drive in” packs a flavor punch with their food. We love their nut patty, which may have your thrown off thinking a burger made with nuts, but we promise you won’t regret trying it! It has a light curry flavor to it and the texture is on point. If you’re not sure what to get, we recommend the regular Nutburger or Patty Melt. And if you like saucy, make sure to order a side of their special sauce for only an additional 50 cents. Their shakes, chili (seasonal), and fruit salad (seasonal) are also great tries. We hope you enjoy this local spot, which has been around since 1978!

Tomas also loves the fact that they sell a variety of Hansen’s Soda.
