Sláinte (we always accidently pronounce this wrong – it is pronounced slahn-cha – Gaelic for “good health, or cheers”) is a local favorite of ours! This cozy Irish bar, located just off Oakland’s Jack London Square, offers fireplace seating, live music, and top-notch service.

We thoroughly enjoy their happy hour, which goes until 7pm (yes, no need to leave work early!). Their crispy brussels, mac n’ cheese and homemade fries are a must try. We have never had fries so crispy and delicious. We also highly recommend the fish sandwich and lamb sliders. Tomas is a sucker for their Bangers and Mash too. Did we mention they do Wednesday night Trivia also?
